Pennsylvania Trout Season 2016

posted in: regional | 0

Anglers in 18 southeastern Pennsylvania counties kicked off a new fishing season on Saturday, April 2, the regional opening day of trout season.

Anglers have an opportunity to catch some of the 3.2 million trout stocked each year by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC). Anglers can keep a daily limit of five trout, which must be at least seven inches long.

The 18 counties opening on April 2 include: Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Schuylkill, and York.

In February, PFBC hatchery trucks began stocking Pennsylvania’s waterways with a fresh supply of brook, brown, and rainbow trout.

Licenses and buttons can be purchased at more than 900 licensing agents and online at www.GoneFishingPa.com.
